Jesus, You were and still are the greatest teacher known to All mankind.
When I consider HOW You taught, it was always consistent. God isn't a bully or forceeful - it is all explained and left up to people to know the rules, the Truth, and know the consequences of both obedience AND disobedience.
As a classroom teacher explains the school conduct policy and classroom rules, We could liken them then to two different approaches.
1. The forceful teacher who is strict and shouts a lot and pupils sit in fear
2. The quiet teacher who calmy states the rules and whose pupils sit quiety because of the teacher's manner in a peaceful environment.
But, in both classrooms, discipline will result after disobedience.
I think of God's vast teachings and alert Us to the danger that We think just because the Teacher is mild mannered - the rules still have to be obeyed and consequences of disobedience are well documented as are consequences of obedience. The rules have to be obeyed no matter the personality of the teacher. A soft and gentle approach doesn't infer We can take them, the rules, or leave them if We want to get on. The rule
