What if You are experiencing stress but have not experienced God, yet? You will try and deal with it as best You can through e.g. shopping, drinking, taking drugs, comfort eating, taking anti-anxiety or anti-depressant medication or seeking counselling. By trying to find a way to unwind and relax and offload some of the things causing your stress. You might talk to a family member or friend and this might help you. You might solider on with all this going on inside you and then - something else happens ; the straw that broke... and then breakdown, unable to function fully and might have to take time off work and feel utterly alone and just don't know WHAT to do. The cycle continues and it robs you of your happiness and contentment and leaves you drained and constantly tired and life becomes a chore. That is without God.
But, with the Lord. Yes, you will have things that cause you anxiety at times, but God is there and shares or takes the burdens off you and guides you in or even out of some things or relationships or jobs or habits because He is able to help you make decisions, calm you, uplift you and all without any cost because it is all sent via His Spirit. What seems like a mess to us is solved simply by Him and millions of us can testify to this for it is true. Trust me, please.
Father, I thank You that You bring Your calming presence into our stressful minds and lives ministering to us through Your Grace. This Grace dissolves the stress and brings solutions and peace again restoring us into a balanced mind better able to make decisions - the decisions that You want for us. I thank You, Lord, that there are so many sources of help for stress out there but no-one knows us like You and no-one can help us like You can. And will. I offer my thanks, Lord, for the countless times You have sent me and others Your peace into highly stressful circumstances and carried me and them through and I know You will do this for us all - when we ask for Your help. Your Grace is
all sufficient. You, God, are able to make all Grace abound, ABOUND, towards us. Thank You, caring and calming, Christ and Father God. Your peace covers any stresses that we could ever have and lets us live in peace again. Thank you. Amen.
