We know that their jobs are demanding and that they do not do these because of the shifts and bed pans! But out of love for others. I do not like unfair criticism because they give out so much - for us. We should be thankful that You skilled them and that they are there for us when we need their help.
We also know and understand that the criticism should be guided to the source and we are aware of the governing laws and continual changes in policy that the staff have to work under. I visisted a friend in my local hospital here yesterday, 'the vic' and seen and heard a high level of compassionate care going on and received a very friendly welcome and my friend is being very well looked after and so I was happy.
We yearn for them to be listened to by the policy makers and return our national health service to its former glory. It is not a business but a healing centre.
I give special thanks too for the many volunteer workers who go into hospitals - WRVS - plus voluntary visitors and many more to bring a friendly ear and a warm heart. The radio shows bring comfort and soothing songs to the in -patients - who choose to listen.
All of this is like Your care for us, Father - all encompassing, 24/7 and I am glad that the vast majority of us CHOOSE to hear Your voice and are returned to health and a sound mind under Your heavenly care. Thank You for providing our talented, gifted and generous care staff. Amen.
