Jesus Christ, we were lost before, but You go to extraordinary lengths to find each and every one of us, drawing us to You in loving kindness. Pulling us out of the darkness. Placing us into Your care. We have all sinned and fallen short of God's Glory. Yet still, You pursue us with a passion that overwhelms us. You forgive us. You shelter us. You care for us. You protect us. Thank You that we were once lost, but are now found and secure in Your love and power. Amen.
Jesus Christ, thank You that You are the bridge between darkness and divinity. Your light is precious and You are the light of the world. This light is for us all but I particularly send Your light to; the lost, the outcasts, the strung out, the lonely, the despairing, the ones forgotten, the ones in trying circumstances, those who are ill, those who have been cast out of their homes persecuted because of Your name. Because NOTHING can separate us from God's love through You, Jesus. Thank You for shining Your light into our personal darknesses and pulling us out of it. Time after time. Thank You. Amen.
Jesus Christ, this is how it feels to be forgiven! From one soul legend to another. Thank You for the happy days behind us, here now and STILL to experience. Amen and AMEN.
Jesus Christ, thank You for standing by us in our good times and bad. For hearing us out. For allowing us to vent our hurts, anger, frustration and all destroying negative emotions into Your hands and for hearing us, helping us and healing us. You will never leave us, nor forsake us and You assure of this is so many ways. Thank You. Amen.
I think this song describes how God and Jesus Christ feel about us, their beloved family.
Jesus Christ, thank You for loving me just as I am right here and right now. For who I have been and who I will be. Thank You for this unfailing and unfathomable love. I praise Your Holy name and I love You too. Amen.
Father and Jesus Christ, You are our personal God and Saviour.
This week is a do and dwell week that
'I (say your name) will make straight, me, the way for the Lord'.
For the coming of the Lord and His presence now is personal to me. It is my responsiblity and also privilege to bring Your will here NOW and until Christ returns. Let us see this in one another and for one another and to please our God of great kindness. With thanks. Amen.
God and Jesus Christ, for all that You both have done for me, given me and are going to do and give to me. My small pledge to You is 5 minutes of my time in a prayer of thanks - thanking You and respecting You. To ask 'what can I do for You, Lord?'. Help me personally commit this 5 minutes to You. For I know that You, God and Jesus, thank ME for any time in prayer. Thanks and honour, love and reverence and Glory to You God and Jesus.Amen.
Father, I thank You for the example set by Jesus Christ and His followers who were persecuted and tortured and some put to death. When I think of the people in this world who are still suffering to this day - the jewish peoples and so many Christians everywhere, it saddens me but also inspires me because it is a testament of Your love and power within them. I live in a country where we we have not faced any such extreme oppostion and yet the character of Christ still remains in some at some times, concealed. People talk about 'the nature of the beast' but I want to see the nature of our Lord on show. Forgive us, Father, for the times when we quickly forget Your teachings and personalities and allow the devil to speak through us when we need to ask for Your Spirit to be with us daily to promote our characters. Help us speak out for YOU Christ and YOU, God, and show who we believe in and belong to. Amen.
Father, I give thanks to You now for Your goodness and greatness. Your sharing and thoughtfulness. Your character and Your concern for us all. I give thanks that You have given ALL who acknowledge Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ the power and authority through the gift, the miracle, of Your Spirit. This enables us to expel demons and so much more. We in turn, have an obligation to take up this empowering presence and read the bible and pray and attend a church. We must demonstrate our character in Christ. Must SHOW this for we cannot claim to belong to Christ but talk and act on behalf of the devil particularly if we have belonged to God for some time. We must bring Glory to God through obedience for His name is hallowed - Holy and sacred. This relationship with You, God, through Jesus Christ must be one of giving to others too as this is asked of us. Expected of us. Sometimes, Father, You stand back in us all in order that we practise and demonstrate and this is so that we can become strong and able. We do depend on You greatly, but You are also depending on US. I call for Christian character to be displayed now much more to bring Your will to earth and bring Glory and honour before Your throne. Amen.
Jesus Christ, today is a prayer of thanks and support to our church ministers. In remembrance of the service and sacrifices they make day in and day out. With thanks for their services for the Kingdom. In remembering that they are human beings with homes and family and friends too. It is my hope, Jesus, that we as members of Your body can help our ministers out as best we can. I suggest that members of the congregation take a service once a month to allow their minister to sit still and worship themselves. These services could be by a single person or a group from elders to, willing particpants who could teach us some of their wisdom and perhaps give their personal testimonies to encourage and inspire us. That members could set up a prayer partner or phone a prayer support line such as UCB at 0845 456 7729 before automatically lifting the phone to their minister. That congregations could also set up a home prayer group, perhaps mid-week, taking in prayer requests to free up their minister. Let us show thanks and respect to our God anointed and appointed ordained servants of Christ.
I think ministers would benefit greatly from receiving more personal prayer time for themselves - just for themselves as this quiet time is ESSENTIAL for them to do all they do. I would also enjoy hearing other peoples' inputs and teachings and testimonies. Those who hold the services are NOT imitating the minister; they are conducting the service in their own style led by the Spirit. Bless our ministers, Lord, the men and women who give so much of themselves to others. Renew their energy and allow them more quiet time to re-charge and rest. I bless them and their families and friends. Amen.
