For Cardinal O'Brien and Bishop Devine to make known their public apology? A church spokeman the other day pleaded Keith's 'good works' in an attempt to soften our opinions. Keith is involved in deep prayer just now and he should be repenting to God Himself and when the Spirit moves him, to make a public apology which isn't scripted but sincere, isn't vague but specific and is heartfelt acknowledging the harm and suffering done to others and also to Christ's church. When Keith humbles himself fully then he shall be forgiven but his debt is to God and the public he represented in his privileged and public ministry. The Spirit will move both men to make a statement when His work is done in them. This will then be a 'good work' on behalf of His churches. Thank God for he makes us all go in prayer, plead our pardon and then apologise at His prompting, in His time and in His ways. Let both men's manifestation of the Holy Spirit be for the common good. I understand WHY they did what they did but they are not greater than God and need to do as asked and then be restored and know peace again. Praise God, THE God of Grace.
