For me, there has been WAY too much ado about people - PEOPLE- standing at an altar in a church wanting to show the world they love each other and commit to one another before God. God is love. Men love men and women love women romantically and that is indisputable. It cannot be ignored or frowned upon because they love one another! Love is what God wants; not hate, not discrimination and not for anyone to be untrue to their innermost feelings and desires.
God prefers marriage and commiting to one another but understands co-habitation and divorce much more than we do. God says 'I do understand'.
I didn't put on my wedding invite in 1987 'Come to my heterosexual wedding' - would YOU want Your special day to be about your sexuality. No. It is about love. Everyone should have THE CHOICE to marry one another in a church, registry office or hotel or wherever you want it to be held.
If certain ministers exclude homosexual marriage then they have to BEAR in mind that they are excluding people and vast amounts worldwide, from the love of Christ. We are here to save people and not to lose them! We have an open door policy and do not slam the door shut on anyone remember.
I give my blessing to men marrying men and women marrying women. I do.
