When we love, we help people out. Take up the slack when they're not functioning, or very well or just need support and a kiss or a cuddle or someone's arm around them. We offer our time. We run errands. We shop for them and give advice. We forgive them (you and I being one of 'them') when they wrong against us. In this way the bond of love grows. Never the same.
I see people expressing care and concern to me too and it does feel good to be on the receiving end. Doesn't it? I have also met some people who gave me this when they had their own problems, setbacks, ill-health and feelings and emotions. I know one special lady who gives me and many more too and she is 80 and has Parkinson's Disease + more and yet she reaches out to me and others. God bless her in my thanks. He already has though in that she knows and loves and cares about a tremendous amount of people in her hometown. She gives a lot of love and also receives a lot of love in return.
God, I thank You that the love I give and receive is how You are. You help us express our love in different ways to each other and help mend bridges when something happens to cause a rift in the bond. Help us show sympathy and compassion to one another and bless us for it please. The love You give us from You and others is the most valuable treasure we could ever own. Thank You. Amen.
