Well done Sainsburys and Asda for announcing today a reduction in petrol prices. These current price charges levied are an example of blatant greed in my eyes. Yes, businesses and companies are in business to make a profit. Naturally. But, who is controlling these profit margins? We need a governing body with POWER to cap the prices and not just comment on them as we have at present. It is written 'For what shall it profit a man if she shall gain the whole world, but lose his own soul' in Mark 8;36. God DOES NOT LIKE greed and exploitation at all. End of. We all have a moral, legal and spiritual duty (respecting God) to look out and after one another. I just hope that those involved in these companies making these decisions to raise the prices ''come back to your senses, as you ought, and stop sinning, for there are some who are ignorant of God - I say this to your shame.' 1 Corinthians 15;34. This also applies to the outrageous gas and electricity prices with people, including children, our elderly folks and our ill and unemployed, having had to do without warmth in their own homes. I just do not know how these company directors and share holders can justify these prices when their profits are surely, surely, already incredibly sufficient!
I realise that greed and money can be a powerful temptation for some and I feel sorry for those in the grip of these attitudes. But, keep in mind 'He is able to help those who are being tempted' see Hebrews 2;18
'Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts' Hebrews 4;7. You can tune into this, sent through God's own Spirit via what you might term a conscience or prompting to do something. Please do listen. This is a Holy voice giving opportunity to amend. Praise the Father. Amen
