Good to hear that ask.fm are going to introduce the changes that were needed at last. Although the directors there didn't make the abusive comments - it is their responsibility, like all other social media providers, to ensure essentials are in place and NOT ALLOW abuse on their site. I would ask ask.fm to put up a warning page which must be read detailing acceptable vocabulary. This should also show photographs and brief stories of what has happened - deaths and emotional/physical harm etc - so that the people making the comments can see the damage done. I should also like to see them apologising to the families of the deceased children and making a donation to their chosen charity only showing their pictures if the families are in agreement about this.
ALL sites should have a Report button.
ALL sites should be personally monitored.
ALL sites should display a code of conduct required to use the site.
ALL sites should show clear sanctions for offenders.
ALL sites should have a front page warning against abuse and bullying and also giving information and links for help and support for those already affected and for any abuse that might slip through from now on.
ALL sites should get onto this urgently because the management and directors are making a fortune and some out of other peoples' misery.
ALL sites should be monitoring also for pornographic content.
It is mainly young people using these sites but it is also young people MAKING the comments and so ALL parents need to talk to their children about this. Adults doing this - I convict you via the Holy Spirit into repentance and now. You are causing harm and even suicide and misery in
The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. He redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion
