Hierarchy are still debating on whether to grant women the role of being a Bishop. Oh dear, this is like a tale from ye olden days.
It is alike a stubborn seaside donkey who has done the walk it's way lifelong and has the bit between it's teeth refusing to change. Blinkers on seeing the same old view over and over. Just keeping his eyes on plodding to the retirement pasture. Get the link?
Men and women ARE equal in God's eyes, but, His giftings are given at His choice and they are not equal. If God has qualified ANYONE and they desire to stand up and speak out and USE His giftings, who are we to over rule Him!
Lord, help the Church of England put out to pasture these outdated and unhelpful attitudes which are under utilising the giftings You gave in women. I am a strong woman and I do not plod along but rise to a gallop when required and when the need arises and not just walk or trot or worse, stand still. Amen.
The heavens have opened and are reigning down on us and have sent rain to clear the air. Good for our outside plants and we will be glad when the son and Sun comes again. Won't we.
In the meantime. this is the day and rain and reign that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.
God says 'GO in peace' and Jesus has given us His peace unlike any other peace previously know.
God, thank You for Your reign and rain. You command the elements from above and send us EXACTLY what We need. Thank You so much for what You give and take from us to benefit us and let us live FULLY in Your peace. You are wonderful! You are wise
WAOWEE, did you see the picture of Fred Whaley's outside garden yesterday in the papers? Fred, who is 69, has no less than 14 resplendent hanging baskets hanging outside the front of his house. A keen gardener who ENJOYS God's plants and flowers and places them outside so that everyone can share in the spectacle. A devoted gardener who spends a great deal of time nurturing. I say I am impressed Fred with what comes out your potting shed. An arresting sight which brought a big blooming smile to my face as a fellow flower lover.
Our Royal Family, in the heavenlies, welcomed in another little gift sent from God yesterday. Yes, congratulations from God to William and Kate on the safe and very welcome arrival of their son. There was excited fanfare here with the media and public jubilant at the good news, even a town crier. And this happened in heaven too. And this happens every time a baby is born here.
Charles is delighted and I am sure that he and Camilla will be superby grand-parents as well as Mr and Mrs Middleton. William's mum will be watching on as she was a child lover and will meet her first grandson one day. The Queen can now go on her holiday happy and content with the addition to her family here and well.
I say welcome to all little ones born yesterday and bless you into the lifelong care of our heavenly, Father who sent you. I baptise you all now in the name of the Father, in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ and in the name of their Holy Spirit. May you be blessed with peace and prosperity, health and happiness and the joy of the presence of the Lord. The Lord keep You in his arms and provide for your needs. May you seek the Lord throughout your life and fulfill His purpose for your life. Amen.
I read Brian's story yesterday. An epilepsy sufferer who has been robbed FIVE times while lying on the street during or after seizures. He has come round from fits to find £500 worth of Christmas presents stolen, ditto gold clubs, his groceries and wallet gone through theft. He has also been shouted at and abused in the street as he staggers around sometimes and some have assumed he was drunk or drugged. Brian is working with an MSP and Epilpsy Scotland. The poor man has even to wear a protective helmet when out and about in case he falls and also has disorientation difficulties.
The writer of the article said Brian was 'prey for scumbags'.
I say pray for people who take the opportunity to steal to stop and lift their life into God's hands. Take the opportunity to confess and seek guidance from God because God says 'do not steal' and it might seem petty, but the condequences of sin aren't if they go on and are also unforgiven. I say Brian ROCKS as he is still smiling, away the wonderful man. Help him, Father and his cause. Make thieves tempted to steal stop and think before they steal the goods doing satan's will for them and also see that the person might need help, an ambulane perhaps?. Amen.
I was one happy woman yesterday to listen to David Camerons' press statement about the plans on-going to wipe out internet child porn. David showed backbone and determination and a newfound confidence- which is what I like. The big boy providers are in agreement with the public outcry and are doing something about it. Good news and well done. I realise it will take time and effort but it is a huge help for the heavenlies heartfelt desire to wipe this out. THANK YOU ALL.
Father, I thank You for the answer to many of our prayers that action be done over these images. Satan places spirits of depravity in people and then makes it easy to tempt them in viewing these sickening materials, so, this will remove a huge source of satan's resources to lead people into child abuse. I bind, silence and cast out the spirits sent by satan to lure people into abusing children in the name of Jesus. Father, pull people out of satan's strongholds through the almighty power of Your presence. I want them to call out to You for forgiveness and Your help to walk away from this evil. Hallelujah. Thank you all who have spo Amen.
Glad everyone enjoyed a superb festival this year and the sun made it perfect. Surprised to read about the massive clear up process happening now. Not so much about the litter they are lifting but that people walked away and left hundreds of camping out tents there. My first thought was I hope they don't just chuck them out! No. They are salvaging them and giving them to charities and some for our homeless people to live and sleep in. So, good comes out of everything. Nice work workers.
It is but a temporary end of life here. My heart went out to Beth Gilbert who lost her only child, her daughter, Jane, and to her boyfriend, Graham who died with her in a car crash. Lord, please be with Jane and Graham's parents, families and friends and send them comfort and messages about their loved ones. Thank You.
Lord, I read too about the story of Tom Stewart. He lost his son, Lee, two years ago on a killer road the same road as Jane and Graham died on. Tom's other son, Scott, survived the crash but is left wheelchair bound. Let us hope that this dangerous stretch of road can be sorted out as this is what Tom is petitioning for. Caution to all then using it until it gets something done about it.
Tom will see Lee again and Scott will walk again and fully recover and what lovely thoughts to have and hold onto to. Praise. God.
Just heard on the radio news that children are being taken into burns units in hospitals because their parents haven't slapped on the suncream. Yes, they are suffering burns.
Get the suncream out. Asda's own make is about £3 a bottle and came out top on the defence league - tried and tested. Has UVA and UVB. Boots own brand is also highly recommended for the same reason.
Common sense says get the kids covered in suncream. Cover up with loing sleeve tops and don't forget the back of their necks and feet! It only takes 2-3 minutes to keep them safe and having fun outside with no worries.
Father, help us prevent our children's skin being burned by putting on sun cream following the safety advice given. I believe that suncream should be free on prescription to those living on the poverty line. Help us all consider handing in some sun cream into charity shops and food banks because if people can't afford food then they can't afford suncream.
We do indeed worship God's Son and His Family are everywhere and thriving and growing and expecting good things as is right to do.
For those sun worshippers out there - another tip; wear loose clothing if you have any hanging up in your wardrobes - get it out and feel the difference.
What joy to look out the window and see the gazebos out and all the summer fun sights we see. The freezer is great in this weather for ice lollies and ice cream. I got some cream soda out of the shop today and made my daughter an ice cream float - lovely jubbly.
This leads me nicely into praising Pope Frances yet again because yet again he deserves it. Like Italian ice cream (gelato) he is the best thing to come out of the italian vatican in a long long time. He is a light shining out for the world and he has even shunned taking out a grand, expensive car preferring modesty with a cheaper car saying 'we should consider the hungry of this world' before our own luxurious comfort. Give up something for someone. We are depending on Francis and what comes out of Italy and blessed is the man who gets the job done as efficiently and professionally for Christ -as he is doing. I praise his attention to detail small and large and honour his obedience and service. We eagerly await now what comes out from Italy as there are many admirers of our Pope here on Scottish soil too. Very well done holy and blessed man.
The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. He redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion
