Last night, I couldn't find my knife. Looking all over, I finally got the rubber gloves on for protection and delved into the kitchen bin. It was as you would expect; smelly and in there were old food scraps.
The thought, sad thought, immediately came to me of children in India in 'the slums' picking their scraps of food from coups/rubbish tips. Next time you're near rubbish, spare a thought and prayer please for those children and adults who actually live and eat what they find there because of injustice in their country. It stinks.
'Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others' 1 Corinthians 10;24 tells us, quite clearly, that God knows who is responsible. He also gives them this opportunity to respond. Act. Please do responsible people.
Please, Lord bring an end to world hunger, injustice, greed, corruption and unfairness. Let Your light shine into hearts, minds and lives affected giving hope for their future. Father, we know that You care. Deeply. Hear our prayers for them. Thank You. Amen.
The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. He redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion
